here is my first official knitted item...ta da! a scarf for my sis! don't look too close, the mistakes are there... but after a rough start getting my tension and my hold comfortable, and after realizing that it's okay not to be ready for mittens on size 2 needles in the round as my first project, by george i think i've got it! the next challenge- knitting and purling in the same row! thanks to my knitting gurus becky and heidi for all of your encouragement, and for patiently coming to my rescue every 5 minutes to fix my mistakes! i'm already more than halfway thru 2 more scarves!...

Your first project is great, Linda. I also had a good friend who helped me correct a lot of my mistakes. You'll be making hats and socks and mittens in no time.
